Seven Days in the Duchy

I listened to Michael “Chgowiz” podcast on weather (link), and thought it might be useful to prepare a live 7 day forecast for some Köppen climate weather classifications.

The idea is that a DM can use the below real-world forecast to be the actual weather in the DM's campaign world. The DM need only pick a climate below that best matches their campaign world and use that. Since the forecasts are live predictions, they will track real-world weather, and as such, they will be up-to-date and 'realistic'.

For our US friends, the temperature and wind speeds are given in non-metric units in the box below the main box of weather.

Tropical Duchy

Subtropical Duchy

Mediterranean Duchy

Temperate Mainland Duchy

Cold Steppe Duchy

Tundra Duchy

Questions

1. Is it worth making a longer window of weather, e.g. 28 days? I could cobble together 4 cities in the same Köppen zone. If read vertically (instead of horizontally), this might give some more variable (so more interesting) weather.

2. Is it worth making a Southern Hemisphere version of the above, to get a weather inversion, e.g. winter in the south when it is summer in the north etc.?

3. Wait, I thought this was your blog: https://goblinshenchman.wordpress.com? Yes it is (please stop by), but I couldn’t get the above scripts to work in WordPress
